The November LAB meeting will take place on Thursday 7th November at The Barrel Project, 80 Druid Street, SE1 2XN.
This month’s presentation is one for fans of mouth-puckering kettle sours. LAB member Serge Savin has been doing some experiments and will be presenting on ‘Lactobacillus from Yoghurt for Kettle Souring’.
There are plans in the offing for a members’ beer swap at the November meeting, in addition to the standard tasting session. This will be an opportunity for people to bring in a case or so of their own beer, and leave with a mixed case of everyone else’s (who wants to participate). Unlike the members tasting we’re asking people to bring beers that they are pleased with to the beer swap. If you are interested in participating, get in touch with Rob through the club Slack channel. A great way to prepare your own December homebrew advent calendar!
The November meeting will also see the launch of the election process for the LAB Chairperson for 2020-21.
If you have any beers you’d like to bring, for the feedback at the Members’ tasting, please ensure you have at least 2l and, if possible, inform us in advance.
The agenda for the meeting is as follows:
18:30 Arrive and get a beer
19:00 Introductions, news and Q&As
19:20 Presentation: Lactobacillus from Yoghurt for Kettle Souring
20:05 Beer swap and Short break
20:20 Members’ Tasting
21:30 Meeting to close.
