Here are the beers from the tasting at the October meeting – a selection of microbrews from northern France that although with definite influences from across the Belgian border, have a unique character of their own. Who said the French don’t make good beer?
From left to right:
Brasserie Au Baron – Saison Saint Médard
Amber Bière de Garde, 7% ABV
Brasserie d’Annoeullin – Lepers 8
Biere Blonde
Brasserie du Caou – Kaou’ët Brune

Brasserie du Caou – Kaou’ët Triple
Belgian Triple, 8.5% ABV
And a bottle of sweet farmhouse cider, just for good measure.
