Our next meeting is on Monday 4th March, 2013 in the usual place: the Draft House, Tower Bridge (http://www.drafthouse.co.uk/).
This month we will be selecting our Club’s entry to the Craft Brewing Association Club Competition (LAB are the current holders). This round of the competition will feature Porter and to warm us up on this particular style, Dan will be giving us a little insight into its history and what we might expect at our tasting.
If you have any news items that you’d like to bring to the Group, then please let Paul know in advance. Similarly. if you have a brewing question for the Q&A section that you’d like to be answered by the Group, would you please submit it to Paul before next Monday. It will then be added it to the agenda and put to the group during the meeting.
It is unlikely that we will get an opportunity for tasting anything other than the competition porters. Those who are entering please bring 4 x 500ml bottles or equivalent to make sure there’s enough to go round the group. Don’t forget to bring along copies of the BJCP Style Guidelines (http://www.bjcp.org/stylecenter.php), and the tasting notes sheet.
